Flying in Class C Airspace

March ARB Class C Airspace

Requirements

Two-way radio communications must be established.
(FAR 91.130)

An operating transponder with altitude reporting.
(FAR 91.215)

All aircraft (including gliders) may not operate within the lateral boundaries above the ceiling of Class C airspace upwards to 10,000 ft. MSL without an altitude reporting transponder. (FAR 91.215.4) Gliders are OK without transponders at or above 10,000 ft. MSL and below 18,000 ft. MSL.
